OI!
I've been distant lately - just got back from a work trip to Florida last week, and I get to go to MI for work tomorrow morning - what a month...
Then I come on here and get scared about the discs RE: NHP issue with them in his computer. You scared me there for a minute, friend! I did indeed watch most of the first disc on my TV-DVD player, and checked all before I sent, so I was thinking ????
Glad to hear it all worked it out in the end! No harm done.
As far as what I've seen so far (being so busy as of late, haven't been able to get through all of it) I'm actually surprised how much I am enjoying this! I was basically anticipating a long piece of uninteresting craziness sandwiched in between some sweet music footage. The craziness is actually kind of cool, and is interesting. I actually find it very fun to watch and the music is fun! So if anyone is like me and has never seen it - well, you may be surprised! I don't really such much of a cohesive point - but I wasn't expecting one.
I was quite hungover when I watched it - and figured I'd put it on as a backdrop to my head pain - something non-intrusive to doze off to if I felt the need. Surprisingly I enjoyed it too much to doze off to, and found it very fun to watch while hung over. I recommend this movie if you experience a rough day-after - and it probably would work well when you are bed ridden with the latest flu bug.
I would not show this to non-dylan fans or people who are not into the kind of gypsy / beat scene that was the RTR.
Cheers all.
