Just got home from Bloomington. The show last night was my only one from this tour, so I don't have anything to compare it to. A couple of thoughts:
The highlight for me was "It's All Good," much livlier than the album version. I enjoyed Bob's up-front at the mike vocals, especially on "Thin Man." We didn't have good seats (up in the balcony), but the lighting on "Thin Man" projected a silhouette (sp?) of Bob on the stage backdrop that was striking.
But the extradinary highlight of the day was when my husband Bill and I decided to scope out the buses before the show. We started on one side of the theater, but only found the equipment trucks, so we went over to the other side where we saw only Bob's black bus parked. We started walking toward it, and noticed that there were a couple of security guys standing at each end of the bus on the passenger side, and then we noticed that the door was standing open with 2 men just outside the door talking. As we got closer, it became clear that one of the was, indeed, Bob! We tried getting closer, but, of course, Bob's security guys were NOT going to let us get any closer. Then I tried taking pictures with my phone, and they kept purposefully getting in the way of any chance of getting a decent picture. We walked around to the front of the bus, but since Bob was standing just behind the door of the bus, the best I could get from that angle was a little bit of his arm. I didn't recognize the guy he was talking to, but the conversation went on all the time we were there, and Bob was holding a couple of pieces of paper rolled up in one hand, and seemed fairly animated.
I'm posting the pictures, but it's really hard to see anything----very small pics, and, again, our view was blocked.
