With only 1 day to go until the next leg of the Never Ending Tour starts,
what are your expectations?
Will Bob mix it up, and if he does, what song of the Basement Tapes will make it's live debute?
Can we expect surprises or will this be another "Modern Times" tour?
Which team will be the surprise of this pool season? (Cabin Builders Of Utah, i tell ya)
I think the setlists will be pretty much the same as what we've been hearing but he'll probably break out a shelved song or two every few nights
I'm hoping Levon gets to ramble with Bob for a song or two at SPAC, maybe for Tears of Rage, I Shall Be Released, Forever Young, or This Wheel's On Fire
Still solid playing all around' I think we're still in for some surprises, setlist wise, prehaps a bit less on the MT stuff, since he's toured that album in these spots several times, but nothing earthshattering i.e. band member changes or anything like that.
And hopefully Tony's out of that "old man chair"
Big surprises, lots of song first-timers, Bob on acoustic guitar with the harmonica around his neck for the first 3 songs, new band members (female back vocalists), new outfit, talking to the crowd, smiling and joking, fireworks........
......ooops, my alarmclock, good morning, just a dream, just a dream
QUOTE: I think he'll be playing Maggie's Farm backwards. At least one time.
How will we know?
But seriously, I expect pretty much the same formula as Maine to Spain. Maybe things will mix up a bit in the fall after the release of BS8, but I'd be surprise to see much change before then.
I'm hoping to get to see Jack White come out with Bob on stage on Saturday! The Raconteurs are playing right before Bob - maybe there will be some 'Desire' action!
I'm not expecting any surprises, but I'd like to be wrong. In any case, it's been almost a year since my last show, so I'll likely be happy with whatever he plays.
I don't expect any surprises per se, but in light of the Boot 8 release, I sort of expect a little less MT, and/or one less 'classic' per show, replaced with Boot 8 era songs. Playing more TOOM songs than usual last tour was maybe some foreshadowing?
A perfect opportunity to give Summer Days a rest. I hope he plays hatless at at least one of the 2 shows I'm going to. (it's possible as they are both club/theater dates)
The biggest surprise I can think of would be the live debuts of "older" Dylan songs we've never heard yet - the ones that will show up on the next "Bootleg Series". Not that it will happen, though.
