Enjoy the music or don't - go see or don't = the best comment on this thread. I'm saddened by how much people complain about everything. Maybe I should learn that some people will never be happy, but i just want them to share my complete joy over Bob's genius :-)
gosh, it sure does sound like you're complaining. calling people "miserable" and "complainers" doesn't exactly make me feel your "complete joy" at bob's genius. call me crazy, but it sounds more like you just think allll you europeans are better than us americans when it comes to appreciating bob. your insinuation that you somehow love him better probably isn't going to earn you many friends, and how that shares your joy for him is beyond me.

MoonlightAlone, it's not a european thing, it's a fact.Us europeans love bob more than you americans. Also bob loves europeans MORE than he loves Americans, And to prove my point, if you look at any of the videos of bob when he plays in europe , he actually does only what we call " a half back " to the audience. But when he plays in the U.S he actually does what we call " a full back" to the audience. It's a proven fact, i have the videos to prove it
and for your information !! it wasn't us in the UK who BOOED bob in 66 it was you americans.

I wasn't complaining...i accept the way you seem to behave at his concerts. Infact i'm almost over the time when i listened to an american bootleg and someone went to the toilet on someone's coat and the arguement ruined a few songs. What i do to help me get over this is go to a concert and do this..www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAPtVsnHYVo....and watch Bob's reaction. In the future i wont tell anyone what angle bob stood at when i saw him, i'll tell them i was lucky to be there..
Re:Please face the audience Mr Dylan 3 Months, 1 Week ago
this "method" you're using to discern who bob loves best is laughable... i'd think you were webberman digging in the garbage if he wasn't dead.
the quote "this is AMERICAN music" is bob's, not mine... you'd recognize it if ya knew much about bob. bob is american, plays more american dates than any others, owns more homes here, married his wives and had all of his children in this country. he obviously could have chosen to do that anywhere considering the depths of his pockets... guess he loves you enough to visit, but not to stay.
with all due respect to my distant ancestors, europe just isn't the navel of the universe it thinks it is. and yes we americans bitch and say whatever we want... call it a couple hundred plus years of freedom of speech. the freedom of speech guaranteed us all after we kicked a few europeans outta here, if you recall...
to top it off, rock n' roll is american music. it originated here, has been played better by americans and for longer by americans... it always will be american music. that's just the way it is.
oh and ps. we saved your asses in wwii. you're welcome.
Re:Please face the audience Mr Dylan 3 Months, 1 Week ago
almost every piano player i have seen in concert sits with his back to a portion of the audience. its only guitar players and lead vocalists who face the crowd from center stage.
the only useful think about those three or four songs with the guitar at the beginning of a couple of tours was the visual treat of seeing bob taking center stage.
popular singes who accompany themselves on the piano tend to be boring performers. even the drab david gray brightened his show up a bit when he got up fromt he piano tro stra on a guitar.
Re:Please face the audience Mr Dylan 3 Months, 1 Week ago
If bob is going to play piano at shows, I wish he'd play a real piano, a big upright, instead of that little toy thing. Regardless of the logistical drawbacks.

You saved our asses in WWII? I'm talkin about europe and i'm pretty sure that some parts of europe were on different sides!! But then you've been watching saving private ryan again haven't you and i'm not really sure what that has to do with anything - i was commenting that it was stupid to complain about what angle Bob stands at during concerts, i was hoping someone would say "yeah - let's just go to a show and love the fact that we are there"...after all we are lucky.
To anyone going to a show this tour - enjoy it, the man to me is as fantastic as ever

i wouldn't make any assumptions about what i've been watching and what i haven't, it's really none of your business.
and yes, i agree it's stupid to complain... maybe you'll quit sometime soon.
Re:Please face the audience Mr Dylan 3 Months, 1 Week ago
I was joking (again - terrible habit) that it could be a biased film that gave you your knowledge of WWII because for no reason you happily claimed to have save europe's ass, but europe is a continent and it was on different sides in the war. Don't say things that bizarre and not expect any help. Thank you for trying to help me too.
Ironically i've just watching Bob's 'Masters Of War' in Vienna. Beautiful song, wonderfully done infront of a great crowd. And to solve more issues in this thread, here's the link - taken from the audience and showing his face very clearly . . http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=6WtmeOfCigo
Many thanks Bob, you've been amazing so far this year, yet again
