capital radio (london) produced a chart from listeners votes. see below for the most popular songs requested. amazing to find lay lady lay ahead of like a rolling stone.
i used to love capital radio - especially roger scott from 3pm to 6pm. used to rush home and get the last hour or so.
i'm pretty certain roger scott interviewed dylan over the telephone around the time of shot of love. (edit to add: just found it in an old diary for june 1981).

Olof Bjorner: '1978 at a glance'
1978 was a hectic year for Bob Dylan. Renaldo & Clara finally premiered and got mostly bad reviews. He went out on a world tour that in the end covered ten different countries with 115 shows! There was a major new record, Street-Legal, the first in more than two years. A compilation, Masterpieces was released in Japan and later in Australia. There was also a live double album from the first part of the world tour in Japan, At Budokan. Dylan gave a lot of interviews to promote both his new movie and the world tour. And then, in the end, a new beginning.

I went to all seven Universal Amphitheater shows in 1978 from June 1-7, and I taped the second show. Quite an experience. I had just turned 19 in May. Even better though was the LA Forum show on November 15, 1978. Bob wasn't really at his best until the Fall shows during "The Alimony Tour."

"Thank you! I first played this song at the Newport Folk Festival, and they booed me right out of town. But I keep playing it anyway, I hope that you like it. It's called I ain't gonna work on Maggie's Farm no more."
