Is the Banalny recording of Warsaw the one over at Exp Rain? If so, it's certainly a very good recording but I just can't put it in the same league as Halifax/Vienna/Salzburg...am I missing something here?

Stefan - would be interested to read your thoughts on the tour in general (or at least what you've heard of it). Did you get to any shows?

I second that Stefan-you've been unusially quiet over the last leg of the tour. Did you catch any of the tour in person? Any general thoughts on 2008 so far based on the recordings and...what do you make of Salzburg (Die/Wal). I still say it's the best recording from Europe (although I still haven't got my hands on the Tom Moore recording from the same city which Mighty Flynn says is the best)-his vocal is just the warmest capture I've heard in ages...not quite as loud as the Halifax recording (not Europe I know but we'll allow it) but less echo and for my money ,despite the occasional volume waver (from the taper drinking beer apparently)and Bob himself missing the mik now and again, it (along with Halifax) is one of the key recordings from 2008 to date.
