I always thought Jokerman was a great opener.

I haven't the froggiest idea,
but if things start getting mejor around
Rollin' and Tumblin' (according to a Santiago
reviewer) then let's start with Rollin and Tumblin'

How about an Electric Duncan & Brady ?

Levee's opened in Philly and NY back in '06. Works better in slot #5 IMO.

Thunder would be a great opener, but it's probably not gonna happen so long as Bob is playing guitar at the beginning of the set.

Remember back in '05 when the openers were To Be Alone With You, Drifter's Escape, Maggie's Farm, and Tombstone Blues, and which one it was always depended on the day of the week? None of those were played last year and only Maggie's and Tombstone Blues the year before...would like to see those make a return, but in the #4 slot or whenever Bob switches to keys.

I'd like to see a Gotta Serve Somebody or Down in the Flood or Silvio opener.

Sadly, i doubt he will do another opener.

Certainly the 2005 openers were a solid bunch! Sadly, the shows rarely arose above the energy hatched from that slot.

I'm down with Drifter's making a comeback.

Serve Somebody should get back into the set somewhere regardless.

The energy from the 2005 shows is incredible!

well, an energy improvement from fall 2004 (big letdown)...sure...but anything prior to that I am quite serious in my opinion. Not saying it was Bob's personal energy...in fact, I find him in better voice during those Merle shows in April 05 than I do of most of 04 and parts of 03. But when the music/vocals got to a certain level it was kinda stuck there. So, it was the same energy throughout...energy-re-visited.
