Who was there?

26 April 05
Beacon Theater
New York City

1. Tombstone Blues
2. Love Minus Zero / No Limit
3. Lonesome Day Blues
4. This Wheel's On Fire
5. Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum
6. John Brown
7. Under the Red Sky
8. Highway 61 Revisited
9. Bye And Bye
10. Shooting Star
11. Honest With Me

12. Masters of War
13. Don't Think Twice, It's All Right
14. All Along the Watchtower

from a review posted at Pagel's place:

"Highlights of the set, for me, included a strong
"Love Minus Zero," an atmospheric "Wheel's On Fire,"
a gorgeous "Shooting Star," an inspiring "Masters of War,"
"Don't Think Twice" - which began with a fantastic
instrumental intro and evolved into a propulsive
semi-rocker, and an eerie "Watchtower." All in all, a
fine, solid concert with some extraordinary moments and
no clunkers."

Two of the above-mentioned songs:

Caught the last show of the Beacon Run...and I came to a realization point after the show. I had come to grips and berries with myself knowing Bob was completely satisfied with a fine-polished, no frills, all-pro undertaking of his songs. The close-the-edge performances, breathe-ability of the music and guesswork was no longer a driving force. A very weired experience.

Laughs, thank you for posting those. Splendid recording quality. Thanks to whoever captured these.

this was a disappointing show musically

Honest With Me was the highlight

crowd was very excited and positive, but Bob just didn't have it

Don't Think Twice was terrible

the Boston show I saw with St Augustine just before this run was a million times better
and much of the subsequent minor league ballpark tour was also much better

I was elbows-on-the-stage not 12 feet from Mr. Dylan each night but the first, and anyone who says he lacked anything either wasn't there or was drawn down by the crowd around them. For my money Tues and Sat were somewhat lesser achievements, but Thurs was at the top of my 50+ show experience and Fri was close. As a run - setlist and performance wise - it was stupendous.
