The Never Ending Pool

Probably my favorite performance of this song. Bob, after hoarding lead guitar duties on this song for years, finally gives Charlie Sexton an opportunity at the position, and Charlie responds with not only three boundary-less solos, but also some very clever rhythm figures during the verses. This one also features an impassioned harp solo from Bob which makes great use of the "blue note" that stems directly from his preference to play cross harp. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for posting. Great version. For some reason I often skip over 02 Tangleds because the 2000/01 versions are so marvelous. But yeah, Charlie's hardly evident on 00/01 Tangleds. Bob's lead plus Larry's rhythm dominate.

Of course, it's not hard for Charlie to take lead guitar when Bob's on keys.
