It's Alright, Ma, It's Only Music Special.

Get your Bob Dylan fix over the holidays.Bob Dylan rockumentaries hosted by Patti Smith. Listen to four hours of music and conversation . Each one hour episode focuses on a distinct period in Dylan’s life.

Dylan moved to NYC in 1961, and within two years, he was being lauded as the “voice of a generation.” In his songs, Dylan captured the social consciousness of the time and took it beyond as he rejected the role of protest singer. 2. Like a Rolling Stone

Interviews: Sean Wilentz, George Wein, Roger McGuinn, Anthony DeCurtis, Greil Marcus, John Hiatt, John Cohen, Ray Benson, Josh Ritter, Bill Flanagan, Garth Hudson

3. Shelter from the Storm
In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Dylan continued to expand his artistic world. Hear highlights from this period of dizzying artistic and personal growth.
Interviews: Bill Flanagan, Roger McGuinn, David Mansfield, Ray Benson, Ian McLagan, David Gans

4. Oh Mercy
Returning to his roots in folk and blues, Dylan has fine-tuned American music with the mind of a poet and the bravado of a rock and roller. Hear the maturity and grace of Dylan’s most recent artistic ideas.
Interviews: David Kemper, Ray Benson, David Gans, Bill Flanagan, Carolyn Wonderland, Josh Ritter, Ian MacLagen, John Hiatt, Roger McGuinn, John Cohen
