To me that's a headway to limiting free speech and other rights. Honestly I found the picture a little funny. My problem is like I pointed out that comedians or anyone can make fun of McCain, whites and honestly most other groups without fear of some kind of backlash. Some of the rougher and rowdier comedians on Comedy Central and the like having started pushing boundaries look no further than Lisa Lampinelli...
Does condemning remarks and threatening really solve anything regarding prejudices and hate? Or can we? Some people just don't like other people. And that's all their is to it. And if they happen to be of different races or ethnic groups, like I said the race card can be played
Whatever ethnic, religious, racial, sexual, gender group can call one another something, play up on their own stereotypes, but get offended when anyone else does?

1. "Bimbo" is fair comment; it's not because she's a woman but because she entered a beauty contest. It's like Obama taking part in the black and white minstrel show.
2. What the heck is McCain thinking of? Apparently he had met her only once in his life before nominating her -- where was that, at some kind of dating agency for older gentlemen?
3. Mainstream Republicans must be absolutely horrified at how their party has been taken over by fundamentalist loonies who don't know which century they are living in. If conservativism has any merit, it is on its insistence on good governance, fiscal responsibility, and consistent foreign policy. Instead they have to make overtures to people who are totally uninterested in administration, the economy, or world issues but totally committed to whacko fringe issues, and think they can pick and choose what parts of science they believe in. It's like turning over a modern hospital to a bunch of witch doctors.
4) Are Hillary supporters really stupid enough to vote for someone who stands for everything Hillary opposes simply because she has a vagina? This obsession with identity politics is making Americans look crazy. Vote for the best candidate with whom you agree on the widest number of major issues already!

The remarks, probably weren't meant to entertain or amuse. And likely, not all there is to their interests. There's a substantial difference, based on prior performance, in degrading others from a get-go platform and in having fun from Jack Frost Thunder

As appalling as it sounds, before the end of the primaries, I heard many people say that if Obama didn't get the nomination, they'd vote for McCain. I saw interviews at the DNC (before Hillary gave her unification speech) with stubborn Hillary suppporters who simply would not accept the idea that Obama had secured the nomination.
Have we really bred cognitive thinking out of our species? It sure seems so.
The problem imo. is that the 24/7 'news' media is so weak, they allow spokespeople for both parties to lie with abandon.
Just this morning I heard a McCain wonkette declare that Palin had real life experience and she described Obama as a 'beltway polititian' with no real life experience. The commentator didn't utter a word, just let her go on and on. Maybe people aren't stupid enough to vote for someone based simply on their identity politics, but they are stupid enough to believe that what they hear on TV news shows is the truth.

Why is she comparing the next Vice Pres. of the US
to the next President of the US?
I didn't hear what you heard, at all. From what I undersood,
those delegates were representing others from their respective districts at the DNConvention and intend to support the Democratic Party in November.

Up until now, the McCain Campaign has been questioning whether Obama has enough experience to lead the Country. When a 72 year old candidate who has already had 2 bouts with cancer picks a running mate with arguably even less experience than his opponent, that just might be a legitimate comparison.
