Saw him last fall. It was a good show, but for the price, I wont be rushing back anytime soon.

Neil's shows might be double the cost of Bob's but they are immesurably better!!

I saw him last fall too, at the Orpheum in Boston. Had to sit through his wife as the opening act. She wasn't horrible. If I were sitting in their livingroom, I might even say it was enjoyable. But not stage-worthy, as far as I'm concerned.

And Neil was good. He was even great at the end. But as a whole, I was underwhelmed. Maybe it was the anouncement just before he came on stage that we shouldn't make sudden loud noises or call out song requests. Maybe that made his shtick of sitting, then standing, and wandering around the stage as though he were trying to decide what he was going to play next seem more unsettling than inspired.

^ As my dad said, you wouldn't pay to see her solo...
Neil was awesome last year, I saw him at the Fox in St. Louis. Solo for the first half, then electric with his band. Though I felt that second half was a little of a letdown. Being as he's playing arenas, I'm guessing he'll have his current band behind him for the show.
Checking prices though it looks like it'll be a no. 250$ ? That's heading into Rolling Stones territory.

Both Southern California shows are GA this time round. I took off work today just to be sure I could secure tickets for both shows. I did.

Glad to hear it, monk. Hope the shows kill.

But why, oh why did you people have to bring the repressed memory of his wife's performance back to the surface?! She was just a one out of a billion Open Mic Night performers, as I remember, there was a skinny kid playing guitar w/ her who was pretty good, but other then that, whiney emo bands are a step up in opening acts for him
