Do "Bob's people" think we're this naive? 1 Month, 1 Week ago
I just looked at the Ticketmaster site for the Kalamazoo show, where reserved stadium seats are going for $49.50 and GA floor tickets are going for $39.50. Apparently, they're having a Hot Seat package for this show, too. $150 for a "premium" reserved seat, or $120 for a GA ticket. Unless I'm missing something, they think some of us will pay $80.50 extra for the virtually worthless piece of merchandise that comes as part of the Hot Seat package.
Unless, of course, they're planning on giving the people with Hot Seat GA tickets early entry, in which case I'll have to pony it up, and I'll be the one who looks like an idiot...

Fingers crossed they're not doing that "premium GA" bullshit.
Hotseats can be deceiving though, summmer 07 Red Rocks offered Hot Sets..........reserved seats dont begin til row 25, and folks still bought them, so..........
I tend to believe Hot Seats are geared at the rich-yet-casual fans more then anyone :/

Yeah, I hope the Hot Seat tickets don't offer early entry or something like that...so far, nothing on Bob's site or Ticketmaster indicates that. I'll be particularly pissed if they do, since they didn't announce it before the regular tickets went on sale. Didn't that happen at a GA show in California last tour?
Re:Do "Bob's people" think we're this naive? 1 Month, 1 Week ago
They've been charging more for the "reserved" seats vs. the better GA seats for years. I remember in early '99 I bought a reserved seat then was amazed when they let me just walk into general admission, right up at the front.
It's not job Bob - the business of rock is increasingly the business of extracting money from people who have more money than sense. Letting people like that keep their money is probably of questionable morality, but it's part of why concerts are so full of rich jerks who don't pay a bit of attention to the show.

Yes,..Bob Sanctions class separation for his shows now based on how much cash you have. The recent Santa Monica show was a total debacle because they didn't even offer the $180 general admission early entry bracelent " pass the line " whatever they want to call it Bullsh*&iT tickets along with the general pre-sale. Really like the new album Bob,..but geeze you're losing face, although I'm sure he is laughing all the way to the bank.
I have the feeling bob is pretty removed and seething towards the hardcore fans always at the front of all his shows. Sees us as probably a necessary evil. It's a shame, but he helped create this.

All the people that bought the 3 disc set will be rushing to purchase the hot seats, if they didn't it would mean that consistency isn't their strongpoint either.
