Temecula Review 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Seated venue? Well, not really, when the stage turned dark people rushed to the rail. We had comfortable seats but a place at the rail tops it. We made it to a brilliant spot on the left side of the stage.. and forgot the beer in the cupholders at our seats from beeing that excited

The venue was a really nice. A concert hall with good sound system, capacity 1200.

Bob started with Watching the River. What a great sound right from the beginning. Also the lighting was really good the whole show. A great Times followed. Every word came loud and clear, no upsinging.
The band got bluesy after that. Lonesome Day, Til I Fell In Love, Love sick.

Absolutely flashy: Hattie Carroll top notch. Btw, Bob was cheaky with his fans the whole show. Seems he wants to tell: See, I am still the man.

Nice solos by Denny this night too. Blowin was really fancy!

Tony is in a joking mood, especially when they did Summer Days. Seems to be a bit of confusing situation: Tony didn’t play the stand-up bass, but sure the song was swinging as it does today, blowing the crowd away.

The Danceman: During some song Bob was in a waiting position and did a great show putting his dress in shape: Starting with the collar, than the sleeves, than hair, hut.. was amazing cool.

After the encore the well known line up. But Bob shaking more than usual.

Haul on the bowline
We sang that melody
Like all tough sailors do
When they are far away at sea

This article is actually a review of the San Diego show, Bob Dylan and band score repeatedly at their Mission Valley concert, but the author implies that the Temeculah show was disappointing:
QUOTE:
"On Thursday, Bob Dylan and his band too often seemed detached and unable to get in sync as they delivered a concert that sparked at times, but more frequently verged on the perfunctory. "

I was just wondering what people that were at both shows thought. I though the night in Temeculah was great. I suspect that maybe the reviewer wasn't present, just looked at the not very surprising setlist, and assumed it was a dull show?

Dang but I'm sorry I missed "Cat's in the Cradle" (and the silver spoon?) Mebbe he wasn't at either show, come to think of it...

Apocalypso Singer:

It was during Honest With Me that Bob was fussing with his shirt sleeves, collar and hair. Yeah I had a front row ticket and everyone was my friend all of a sudden. We were all hanging out at the rail when the lights went down and the music started. Bob kept coming over to our side teasing us and showing off, just like he did in Vegas.
