Hey man. Look, I get the picture. You're not gonna return my calls anymore. Or my numerous text messages. It's cool, man. You go your way and I go mine, right? It's just the natural order of things.
I was just wondering if you could throw this old dog a bone. Maybe you could play Dear Landlord tonight in Canandaigua. Could you make that happen? I know you could. I know the band could handle it--who could ever forget that outrageous chord sequence? I mean, Denny Freeman looks like he was born to play Dear Landlord.
I'm not gonna cry if you don't play Dear Landlord tonight, Bob. But if you do, you'll make me smile big time.
In closing, I would like to say that I Dreamed I Saw St. Augustine or Wiggle Wiggle would also work.
Charlie, just wanted to say that I loved your appearance with Bob on the Letterman show...you guys should've been his 1984 band, not the all-star mediocrity he ended up trotting out.

i had always kinda thought it might be the real guy, being as how he's so obscure, it's not as if he has any sort of celebrity status or current connection to Bob.
Obscure? Are you trying to hurt my feelings, man? There's a lot more famous drummers out there, Ringo and Levon and Phil Collins and whoever. I'm not saying I'm better than them or anything, but you ask the musicians, they know who Charlie Quintana is. I've been around, I've paid my dues, I'm not asking for glory, but give me a little respect, man.
I thought you guys knew all that Dylan shit, like what kind of socks he wears and whatever. And you don't know who played drums for him for like forty shows? Come on kids, do your homework. It's not like I need this shit. It was great working with Bob, I learned a lot. But I've got my own thing, I'm totally cool with who I am. Just a little respect, okay?
Hey, don't think they aren't. But it's ok, you get used to people looking up to you just cause you're the guy on stage. It doesn't go to my head. I'm from El Paso, man. There's no putting on airs in El Paso.
I always believed that Charlie Quintana made this world a better place and I still believe that. No wait, maybe that was Carlos Quintana, former Red Sox first baseman. Hmm. Well either way it's good music, or baseball, or something.

we have a mixture of believers here....some who believe you are who you say you are...some who believe you are a student whose internet server is based in a university or other type of institution and are posing as who you say you are...some who want to believe you are who you say you are...but don't want to be duped....and so on. i'd say it's impossible to know for certain who you are. it would be nice if you are who you say you are....both because some wise-arse wouldn't be trying to dupe us...but even more so...because you are/would certainly be a special person to this group... i am not a Dylan historian...i've just been around forever...but i asked you once....in another thread...if you played with Bob when Cesare Diaz was in the band. i met him once in Philly at a club. he had a gig, and a mutual friend took me to see him. i talked to him for a bit...and i had heard a lot of things about him through my friend. i was kind of curious about your thoughts on him...maybe some experiences...but you didn't respond to the question...so that made me wonder.
you sound legit...i can see a legitimate person in your shoes reacting to this kind of stuff the way you do. i'm tryin to read between the lines. i'm a don't know...but your internet server is a curious thing. so did you play with Cesare Diaz?
