How Does it Feel? Take-one/ Leave-one 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
How does the NEP community feel about adding a Take-one/ Leave-one section on the site? It worked well for awhile over at the Old Pool, perhaps some folks would encourage a comeback?

How does it work?

I would start it off, leaving a few/many choices from my personal cd collection.

Another person would pick from that list and leave their own list. Contacting the person via Private Message with your address.

Here is an example:

LostJohn leaves: Bob Dylan Shows

4/15/05 Boston, MA
2/2/02 Tampa, FL
5/11/76 San Antonio, TX
9/12/80 LostJohn's Birth

TimOutofMind Takes:

2/2/02

and leaves:

6/15/00 Portland, OR
3/2/01 Tokyo, Japan

etc...

We could also have a NON-DYLAN TO/LO.

This was very successful at the old pool until torrenting became common. I think it would be a great idea to have a to/lo thread here--as long as there's enough interest in "snail mail" trading to keep it going. I guess that's the question, isn't it?

I would certainly take part. I would be quite interested in a few mail trades for slightly more unusual recordings or those that are more of a personal favourite / reccommendation for someone.

My collection of well travelled padded envelopes has been gathering dust for about a year now and it would be nice to put them back into circulation.
